Please quote reference B09745CoGoGo welcomes an exciting opportunity to acquire Kismet Cheshire, a colourful, contemporary and personality-packed independent boutique situated in the desirable Cheshire village of Hartford.Established in 2022, Kismet has developed a distinctive identity centred around fun and individuality. The business offers a carefully selected range of fashion, gifts, accessories and products for little ones, featuring a well-curated portfolio of recognised brands including Jellycat, ROKA Bags, Freckleface, Kaffe Clothing (Danish), Joe Browns, Cream Clothing (Danish), Chalk, Envy Jewellery, Marta du Chateau and Caroline Gardner, alongside many other brands stocked in-store.This is certainly not your average high-street shop. Kismet has been created to feel fresh, welcoming and a little bit different, with the current owner describing the clothing as “funky and fun” rather than stuffy or boring. The business is offered for sale due to the owner’s retirement, presenting a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic new owner to take over an established boutique with its own brand, website and social-media presence.Over approximately four years, the owner has built a loyal customer base of 2,560 customers, many of whom are repeat shoppers. Of these, 1,445 are members of the loyalty programme, demonstrating strong repeat engagement.
The current Kismet website showcases collections across:
- Women's fashion
- Homeware
- Gifts and accessories
- Products for little ones
The personality behind the brand is one of Kismet’s strongest features. Its current website presents the boutique as somewhere customers can discover unusual, fun and thoughtfully items, with an emphasis on products that feel a little different.
The name itself adds to the story: Kismet means “fate” or “destiny”, giving the brand an immediately memorable identity.
Importantly for a new owner, Kismet already has an established digital footprint through its dedicated website, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok presence. This provides exciting scope to build upon the existing brand through social content, online retail, new product drops, collaborations and digital marketing.
Kismet is particularly interesting for a purchaser with an eye for fashion, retail, branding, e-commerce or social media.
The foundations of the brand are already in place, giving a new owner plenty to work with. Potential opportunities could include developing the online shop further, increasing social-media-led sales, introducing new collections, expanding click-and-collect or delivery options, running in-store events and collaborations, or developing the Kismet brand beyond its existing Hartford location.
With Instagram, Facebook and TikTok channels already associated with the business, there is also an opportunity for a digitally minded purchaser to turn more of the boutique’s personality and product range into engaging social content.
