Please quote reference B09089CoGoGo is delighted to present Family Rule, a well-established and fully relocatable e-commerce brand specialising in distinctive wooden height rulers designed to help families capture and preserve precious childhood memories.
Established for 9 years, the business has built a strong reputation within its niche, supported by a loyal customer base, established website, proven designs, social media presence and valuable brand assets.
The brand has an impressive 25,000+ social media followers and a repeat customer rate exceeding 25%. It has also benefited from high-profile influencer exposure, including a previous customer with approximately 6 million followers, presenting further potential for influencer-led marketing.
Most recently, the business generated approximately £21,000 turnover and £8,000 profit, despite being operated for a maximum of two days per week during the first half of the year and just one day per week during the latter six months, with no advertising and very limited social media activity.
The sale is solely due to the owners' permanent relocation to South Africa. Following the birth of their third child and alongside other business commitments, they no longer have the time to give the brand the attention it deserves.
Production
The production process is straightforward and can largely be outsourced:
- Wood & Cutting: An external supplier can cut, sand, stain and edge the ruler blanks.
- Printing & Personalisation: Screen printing and graphic/ stencil work can be outsourced, with personalisation forming the final stage.
- Packaging: Finished products simply require wrapping and packing ready for dispatch.
This provides a flexible model without the need for a complicated manufacturing operation.Growth PotentialThere is considerable scope to grow the business through regular social media activity, paid advertising, influencer partnerships, improved product availability and expansion onto platforms such as Etsy and Amazon. With an established audience and customer base already in place, increased owner involvement could provide significant potential.
