In April 2024, the owner of Park Road Laundry filled in our instant valuation calculator as they wanted a free valuation to explore their options, as they were looking to retire.
After receiving the instant valuation, they were then contacted by our team to agree on a commencing market price and to explain the terms of our instruction. Once the marketing price of £44,995 had been agreed our admin team began creating their business advertisement with the assistance of our client. On the 19th of April the business was then listed on third party advertisement platforms such as Businessesforsale.com and our own website letscogogo.com, once the business was live, we also matched it with many of our registered buyers.
Quickly after going live the business began to receive high amounts of interest, with enquires coming through from many different platforms from interested parties requesting more information about the business. After just 4 days on the market, a viewing was booked with an interested party that had approached us through our advertising efforts. On the same day an offer was made, however, our client did not feel this reflected the value of their business so therefore declined.
Our negotiators felt a price could be agreed between both our client and the interested party and so the team worked on negotiating a better price. After negotiating an increased offer of £42,500, our client was minded accepting.
After completion we contacted our client to find out how they felt we handled the sale of their business and any comments they had.
